The roots of Oneota Valley Family Eye Care go deep in the Northeast Iowa community. The practice was originally established in the early 1900’s. It has transitioned through generations of doctors and different locations to where we presently are today. We moved to our current location in downtown Decorah in 2012 and are very proud to continue to serve Northeast Iowa’s eye care needs.
Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Klocke utilize up-to-date eye care technology to help detect and treat potentially sight-threatening conditions. Below you find a list of the equipment we use to do this.
Captures a high resolution photo of the back of the eye. This allows us to document and follow changes in your eyes over time.
Provides a microscopic look at the layers of the back of the eye. Angiography allows visualization of microvascular blood flow within the retina, allowing better imaging for macular degeneration.
Locates and classifies areas of peripheral vision loss due to conditions such as glaucoma or brain injury.
Electrodiagnostic testing to give functional information about the pathway from the eye to the brain in relation to conditions such as macular degeneration and glaucoma.
Ability to photograph conditions of the front surface of the eye, also high-resolution scans to analyze the curvature and thickness of the cornea.
